Ringing In the New Year

Happy New Year, Trinity Family!

Let’s get 2020 off to a good start with these opportunities for Fellowship and Service.

First, a message from Kimi King:

The Trinity Welcome Center on Sunday mornings wants you as part of the Trinity Welcome Team!

Every Sunday morning we have goodies for visitors and members to “grab & go” as they head into the 8:30/11 am services, and as we head off to Sunday School. It allows us to hit “pause” for a moment & say hello to old or new friends so that we connect names with faces.

There are two ways you can be a part of the team: 1) helping with set up and clean up; or 2) donating food and/or drinks.

If you would like more information or have questions about being part of the Welcome Team, please email Kimi King kking@unt.edu or call (940)597-4802.
Remember groups and committees (e.g. Youth or Stewardship, etc.) can also sign up as a group and make it a true TEAM effort!

You can also sign up here https://www.signupgenius.com/go/805084fafac2ca6fd0-helping1 & we will work with you as we move forward together!

We are so very blessed to have you as part of our congregation!

On a more somber note, a message from Dwain Martin, head of the newly-formed Emergency Response Team:

After the events at West Freeway Church of Christ has prompted me to step up our preparedness. I want to go ahead with an announcement of the emergency committee, and a call for volunteers. Here goes;

There is evil in this world, as evidenced by this past weekend. On Saturday an attack at a Rabbi’s home during a Hanukkah celebration, and Sunday gunman at the West Freeway Church of Christ here in our own backyard. To prevent something like this we need to be extra vigilant, and with our newly formed Emergency Response Team we are prepared to take on the task. But, we need your help. We need volunteers for ushers, security, and medical first aid. If you have any experience, or interest in these areas we could use your help.

If you can volunteer please contact me at coolbluess@verizon.net

Thank you, and God bless, Dwain Martin

A quick personal note from your Communications Team: Thanks to all of you, Trinity Family, for your help and encouragement since we began this outreach project in earnest late last summer. Our reach – to each other, and to the community at-large – increases with each passing week. We wouldn’t have anything to Communicate if it wasn’t for this beautiful, loving congregation! Keep sending us your information, so we can keep telling Trinity’s story to the rest of the world.   – M.S.
